Why We're Making Memories Rather than Shopping Lists This Season
The twinkling lights are up, the hot cocoa is flowing, and holiday music fills the air. But this year, we're doing things a little differently at our house, and I think it's a different, yet nice approach. Sure, it's partly because my horse has needed several vet exams this year and he needs expensive supplements, but hey, he's worth it ♥️, but it isn't the only reason.
We've decided to skip the usual present exchange and focus on what truly makes this season magical – quality time with the people and animals we love most. No more stressing over finding the "perfect" gift or battling holiday shopping crowds.
Don't get me wrong – I love the tradition of gift-giving! But somewhere between Black Friday emails and endless wish lists, it's easy to lose sight of what makes the holidays special. This year, we're choosing to gift each other our undivided attention, genuine laughs, and shared experiences.
Some of these moments become cherished memories – the kind no wrapped present can compete with.
Who's with me in making this holiday season about presence over presents? 🎄✨
